My First Blog & Why I start this

First Blog

11:22 am, Warm Sunday April 5th

Yesterday I finished uploading the project description and deployed my first portfolio on GitHub page. It was a interesting experience that I publicly displayed some of my side projects in programming, physics simulation and created something expressing myself, practice journaling. Especially in the AI-fication era where these external intelligence can replace human’s thinking and perform intellectual work better than us, I believe that I should at least reserve any human beings’ attribute, have a unique personality before it’s too late. Therefore, I choose to write out these lines, not through any LLM assistants even though I’m not confident in English. ( because in schools, me and other students are using Gemini, Chatgpt for writing reports, I could say that every reports, essays are just now AI generated. Ironically, teachers maybe also use AI to review and grade those essays. It just an AI loop, who better at prompting will get better score :))).

So I am starting this blog page as a place I can share my side hobbies, lingering thoughts and especially journaling. I believe journaling is a way to practice “self-reflection” or just “self-talk”, meaning I am writing for anyone to read but me, the one writing it. It helps me to push any stubborn feelings or opinions out of my mind, for peace and relief while I can look back slowly at myself, consider what is happening with me, what I am thinking. Everyday, I consume a lot of information from social media without any filters or limitations and just getting worse if I don’t take action to avoid them. Recently, I try to stay away from social media, remove abundant sources of information, selectively choose what I want to study. Sometimes I fail (back to doomscrolling, constantly find cheap dopamine), but I can conscious about it and fix after that. Though it was a rough time, I can see myself become better everyday.

For future plans, I’m gonna continue this blog frequently, purse my pet projects and survive the horrible job markets ( I need a internships next year for graduating). Next blog could be about my opinion on programming, its future from a sophomore’s perspective.
